L’Italia è in vacanza
One of Italy’s top tailoring ateliers, Liverano & Liverano, closed.
Italy is on vacation. The streets of Milan and Florence are empty, except for bus loads of tourists. And almost all the shops are closed. I had been warned that the last few weeks of August are quiet in Italy, but I did not expect such dedication to vacation.
So for my week in Italy, I tried to make the best of it and infer what little I could about local style from the one or two Italians left in the country. Here are my tweets from the week that sum up the experience…
