A new position with MAROL

marol-job

I am proud to announce that I’ve taken a position with a team of shirt makers I truly respect and admire. I have joined MAROL of Bologna, Italy as their Assistant Brand Director. I am working remotely, so I will continue to spend most of my time in Hogtown.

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while you’ll recognise the name MAROL. Several months ago I did a profile on the company after interviewing their co-owners, Head of Production Manuela Vignudelli and Brand Director Bo Yang. I was impressed by how transparent they were about their process as well as their unique and powerful story. Then they were gracious enough to offer me a collaboration on a shirt I designed with Bo and Manuela. I was mightily impressed again, this time by the quality and craftsmanship of their work. It is by far the best shirt in my wardrobe.

It was quite an honour, then, to be asked to join the company.

I will continue to write about style and why dress matters on The Hogtown Rake, of course, but I won’t be touching on other makers’ shirts going forward to avoid any potential conflict.
